Mods not downloading to vortex

ARK not downloading subscribed mods I've been trying advice from different threads for over an hour now and nothing has worked. I subscribed to the mods, and in my library ARK is immediately listed with a "- Ready to play" at the end, which usually happens after a download finishes.
